5 Point Friday
Hello ladies and welcome to your first edition of Five Point Friday. Basically these are things that I’ve got my attention on this week and feel the need to share. So in no particular order here we go!
1) What I Mainly Ate: Ground beef with brown rice and bbq sauce. I love this G Hughes BBQ Sauce because it’s sugar free and tastes amazing. This was my go-to for lunch and second lunch this week.
2) What I Want to Elaborate On: Lunch and Second Lunch. I did a post this week on the Facebook group Strags Fit Club about snacks. While I know that most of you like to eat snacks I personally don’t. The only snacks that I have are Quest protein bars and I typically eat the Birthday Cake ones. I try to eat more meals than snacks. If you can swing this too, go for it. You’ll end up combining protein, fats, and carbs by default and stay satisfied for longer. Plus it’s simple. Just pack another serving of your lunch for that 3pm hour and skip the sugary junk that makes you feel like trash hours later.
3) Phrase I Said Most Frequently While Coaching: “ Your effort at the end should reflect the results you’re looking for.” The end is not the time to slack off; it’s the time to give more especially if you’ve got big dreams.
4) Idea I’m Pondering: What are you willing to trade for the results you want?
5) Challenge Time - Use your fitness this weekend in a way that you normally don’t. What could you do that is a little bit outside your box but forces you to use your body? Post these in Facebook group Strags Fit Club. I’ll have a post ready for comments. Pictures are great too!
